Since I was a kid I liked to combine my context within anything I could imagine, so what seemed unapproachable suddenly became a story of my own . While exploring the world this way I could be who ever I wanted to be, I had the freedom to approach any feeling or thought that haunted me. I could deform anything under the very basics of visual language. I also could be wherever I wanted to be, as well as create as many worlds as I could, this way place and self became very subjective terms, place became everything and nothing at the same time, and self became a list of endless possibilities. Thus this project aims to explore different Graphic Interchange Format (GIFs) images juxtaposed within an still photograph, in order to reinterpret what an image can be, or how can it be perceived.

As Michel Foucault states in the article Of Other Spaces: “I believe that between utopias and these quite other sites, these heterotopias, there might be a sort of mixed, joint experience, which would be the mirror. The mirror is, after all, a utopia, since it is a placeless place. In the mirror, I see myself there where I am not, in an unreal, virtual space that opens up behind the surface; I am over there, there where I am not, a sort of shadow that gives my own visibility to myself, that enables me to see myself there where I am absent: such is the utopia of the mirror.” Of other spaces: Utopias and Heteropias, 1984)
