HETEROTOPIAS (MOVING IMAGE + TEXT)
Facing the camera like facing the world. The act of expression has been mixed with daily objects, images found online; as a kind of collage. Some shots aim to take the viewer into a surreal stillness full of nostalgia revealed by a particular aesthetic, driving someones thoughts into another time.
The visual narrative lacks of a specific scenario, and focuses on close ups to enclosure face expressions, human gestures; showing the subject as the terrain where everything happens. These allusions become a sign, or conscious choices intended to be made visible. I complement the image with universal speech, fragmented in letters, and words; addressing political or social topics with a personal point of view and purpose.
This series of work was created with the intention to explore themes such as identity and female representation in the digital age, merging topics like isolation and fear, using gifs as a means of engaging and understanding this individual narrative.
